Matt and Kim

Hailing from my hometown of Brooklyn, Matt and Kim are an eclectic duo. Using a keyboard and drums, they combine elements of dance, hip hop, and rock. Check out their video below for their single “Lessons Learned” in which they streak in Times Square. Loves it!

Another one of my faves this year is Massachusett’s own Passion Pit. Their first full length album was released this year and the songs have an upbeat, dance feel to them using synthesizers and electric guitars.  You might recognize their song “Sleepyhead” which was used for tv ads. Check out their video for their single, “The Reeling.” You can catch their live performance of  their song “Little Secrets” Friday night.
