In Other Beyonce News, The I Am.. Sacha Fierce Tour is also coming to the island nation of Trinidad, and some aren’t too happy! The government owned company Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) which is bringing Beyonce to the country is said to be reducing the amount of funding that it usually gives to Carnival related activities to help pay for the $1.4 million USD production. The planned concert also came under fire from Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation executive member Karega Mandela who noted its timing in the middle of the Carnival season. “I have no problem with Beyonce, but if you are using State funds in the middle of the Carnival celebrations I think it is gross disrespect,” Mandela said. “It is not a private person doing this, State funds are being used.” Beyonce’s Trinidadian fans however, are of course thrilled. Big name Pop stars don’t usually make it to the smaller Caribbean Island to perform for their fans. What’s Your Thoughts on the Situation.
