Tyra Banks on Set with Pop Music Icon Janet Jackson
On Friday, the last episode of The Tyra Banks Show aired after five seasons. Throughout the episode, Tyra recounted several key moments of the show including her “You can kiss my fat ass!” moment and the time when she took off her make-up and hair to show the “real her.” Tyra’s goal always seemed to relate to people everywhere; during the show she lived the day of a stripper, an obese and homeless person, and a man. Banks also discussed her favorite episodes including the Barack Obama episode in which he looked into the crystal ball and saw himself in the White House and the Robert Pattinson interview where he nibbled on her neck.
The Tyra Banks Show won two Daytime Emmys and Bnaks was also nominated and honored by the GLAAD Media awards for her work with gay teens especially the episode involving the gay teen exorcism. Tyra was never one to go without her antics such as one of my favorites where she imitated Beyonce’s “Déjà vu” video or smelled Janet Jackson’s armpits. We here at Base will certainly miss her and congratulate her for five great seasons. At least we have the never-ending Top Model to count on. “Fierce and love!”
