Janet Jackson reminded the crowd at the Essence Music Festival that she wasn’t just related to Pop Royalty, she IS Pop Royalty! Jackson enthralled the Essence Music Festival audience Friday, kept them on their feet for more than two hours and reminded fans why seeing her in concert was worth waiting two years. The show was a new spin on her 2008 Rock Witchu Tour that many audiences didn’t see due to various canceled dates and Janet’s decision to leave her label Island Def Jam mid tour. Audience members, including celebrities, on Twitter were giving Janet rave reviews! It’s great to see Janet get the respect she deserves as a performer. And those costume? That nude body suit?
