RON’S PICKS|EAT PRAY LOVE SOUNDTRACK:THE TEMPER TRAP + FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE

If you guys have been wondering what two songs have been playing in the Eat Pray Love commercials, which comes out this Friday in theaters, the answers are “Dog Days Are Over” by Florence And The Machine and “Sweet Disposition” by The Temper Trap. The Temper Trap
The Temper Trap is a band from Melbourne, Australia with members Dougy Mandagi, Jonathon Aherne, Lorenzo Sillitto, and Toby Tundas. The band gained popularity with their lead single, “Sweet Disposition,” from their debut album, Condition which was featured on several T.V. commercials. Along with appearing on the Eat Pray Love soundtrack, “Sweet Disposition” was also used in the movie (500) Days of Summer. I’ve been a fan of this song for awhile and it’s one of the best songs that’s come out in the past couple of years. We definitely need more songs like this out there that actually has meaning to it. Florence and The Machine
Florence and the Machine consists of Florence Welch from London and her backing band who provide her with the instruments and background music for her songs. The debut album, Lungs, was released last summer and reached the number one album spot in the U.K. Check out their single, “Dog Days Are Over,” below which was re-released this year with a whole new video and let us know what you think.

these songs are sooo old. but, i’m glad florence is FINALLY getting recognition! and although sweet disposition has been everywhere, i still find myself listening to it without cringing! plus, the movie looks promising.
