RIhanna Hot 97 Interview With Angie Martinez

Nov
25

I Think one of the major complaints that people have had about Rihanna is that she lacks personality.  However, when Rhi Rhi got in the booth with Angie Martinez, that notion goes out the window. What many fail to realize is that although Rihanna has been knocking around this industry for 5 years, she’s only 21. and as Cyndi Lauper said ” Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!” Check out the interview to hear Rihanna address her sexuality, her romantic life and the rumors that she’s a devil worshiper.

106 and Park Interviews Chris Brown on Rihanna’s 20

Nov
12

So Chris Brown is on Interview #4 (Larry King, Angie Martinez, Sway) and Rihanna did her 1 and kept quiet. Nonetheless, Rocsi, doing her best attempt at an Oprah impression, asked him questions and feed him Rihanna’s quotes from her 20/20 asked for his response. I don’t know how to feel about Chris’s interviews. His PR people could’ve squashed this during the Larry King interview yet they decided to have this drag on for months now. When’s it gonna end?

Rihanna on 20/20 (Full)

Nov
6

Check out Rihanna’s 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer below.
My thoughts on this situation are the following. I don’t think Rihanna has any reason to lie because the media has already painted her as the victim and taken her side. I think she told her story honestly and candidly. I also have a gripe with the fact that people are stating that she is doing this for promotion while ignoring that Chris was giving interviews left right and center over the past few months on this situation ( Larry King, Angie Martinez, Sway on MTV), doing the same thing trying to repair his image in the months leading up to his upcoming release. It should be noted she didn’t mention the new album at all during the new interview, nor did they play any of her new songs. I believe Rihanna did this interview so that she doesn’t have to talk about it on the rest of her promo stops. What are You thoughts on the Situation?

Part 1

Part 2

Chris Brown released a Statement in response to Rihanna’s interview stating

“While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.”

Rihanna on GMA/20/20 sneak peak

Nov
5

The first part of Rihanna’s 20/20 interview hit the news this morning on Good Morning America. Rihanna spoke about going back to Brown and why she realized she had to leave. Rihanna said she was “embarrassed and ashamed” that’s why she didn’t speak out until now. The candid interview will continue tomorrow with Diane Sawyer on 20/20. The most poignant moments is when Rihanna starts tearing up and says “When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn’t be held responsible for (them)going back.

Mariah Covers Elle Magazine

Jul
12

Mariah appears in this month’s Elle Magazine starting up the second round of promotion for the E=MC2 album. Read on for juicy excerpts from the interview in which Mimi talks politics(shocking, right?!), Race and Nick Cannon, her slaves/husband/loverboy. You can see the entire story and a photo slideshow at Elle.com.

On her disastrous first marriage to Tommy Mottola: “When I was unhappy in a place in my life, I always wanted to be kidnapped. I just wanted a way out, but I didn’t’ have one.”
On her meeting Nick Cannon: “He sort of kidnapped me and took me on a helicopter ride. Then he re-proposed.”
On keeping the relationship a secret: “We really kept the whole relationship aspect of it quiet. Therefore, we didn’t really ‘date,’ you know what I mean? Because that would give people a chance to be like, ‘What are you doing? What are you talking about? This is so quick…are you sure?’”
Her sarcastic approach to the media gossip: “It’s difficult, especially when legitimate press is saying, “They’re having a $4 million wedding.’ Why? What – did we set a budget?’ “It’s gonna be $4 million! It’s going to be really cool! We’re going to give away gold as people leave! We’re going to sprinkle them with gold! It’s going to be very Coming to America! What do they think? Our whole point [in having the unannounced beach wedding] was to do the opposite!”
On her mixed racial heritage: “It’s such a visual society in which we live that people forget, ‘Oh yeah, her father’s black,’ Carey says. “So, many things will be said in front of me that wouldn’t be said in front of another friend whose complexion might be slightly darker.”
On record labels using her racial heritage to promote her music: “A friend pointed out that I was marketed by a huge massive conglomerate that did like the ambiguity of my voice lending itself to [making air quotes] ‘soul’ music,” she says. “They liked the fact that the look sort of was, and is, ambiguous.”
On Presidential candidate Barack Obama: “I can relate a lot to so many of the stories he tells. Clearly I am not the political analyst of the ages, but this is something that hits me on a deeper level than anything I’ve ever experienced growing up.”
On Nick and previous relationships: “We really do share a similar spiritual outlook on life….Even though people have their own fears about ‘Was I in a relationship before this, was I not in relationship before this,’ to me, I wasn’t in a real relationship; it was more of a friendship and working situation.”
