The-Dream‘s demo sounds like it was originally meant for R.Kelly. The song has less of an acoustic feel and has a beat. It actually makes me want to hear R.Kelly tackle the song, as it reminds me slightly of his 1999 hit “If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time”. My main qualm about the song has always been the “make love to me” lyric, but somehow it sounds a little less desperate and raunchy when a man is singing it. *Cues video from NineteenPercent calling me a misogynist* What are your thoughts?

Just when you thought The-Dream couldn’t be any bigger of a douche, TMZ reveals that Mr. Nash served Christina Milian divorce papers back in February … just nine days before she gave birth to their daughter! Milian filed court docs last week in Georgia claiming the marriage wasn’t disolved when he filed the papers and that they subsequently had “marital relations on numerous occasions.” YUP! He was still hitting hit 9 months into the pregnancy while planning to divorce her. That’s not all! According to TMZ, Milian admits that she signed a settlement agreement with The-Dream in which both parties waved any alimony or ownership right’s to the other person’s property. But Milian claims she only signed the docs because The-Dream brought them to her bedside when she was 9-months pregnant … when she was in no condition to sign such important papers.

DAMN GIRL! We thought you were gonna be eating good off of that “Single Ladies” and “Umbrella” money!

After pictures of The-Dream frocklicking on the beach with his assistant surfaced. The Dream’s publicist released the following statement

“Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.”

This statement pissed me off in more ways than one. The Dream and Christina were not separated over 6 months ago and that is bullshit. How dumb do they think we are? Why would she be tweeting THIS as recently as two weeks ago…Furthermore, keeping the news private in respect to  a baby who isn’t even able to say her name let alone grasp the fact that her parents are public figures is an epic fail. Obviously the dissolution of their relationship is none of our business, but lets have a bit more respect for Christina by telling the truth. One thing I know for sure? He’ll be dropping more than 5 stacks and a make-up bag in that divorce settlement…

Perhaps this is for the best as The-Dream, like other celebrities such as Chris Brown, have yet to fully understand how to deal with the media and phrase things in manner that won’t cause unnecessary drama. In the same interview when asked if he helped out wife Christina Milian when he’s home he replied.

I don’t because my “helping out” turns into expectations. I’ll get Violet on a late night maybe one or two times, but after that, no. If Christina’s tired, call the nanny, call Violet’s granny. We got people.

“Make Up Bag” is the second single off of The-Dream‘s upcoming album  Love King, which he claims is his last since people don’t appreciate his music.  -___-  . Love King is set to be released on June 29, 2010.

The Dream and Def Jam have revealed the cover art for his supposed final album Love King. Nothing shockingly original or “out there”.  The singer/producer/songwriter, who recently received a lot of flack for covering the classic Aaliyah joint “One in a Million” , will release his album on June 29th.

Last week, The-Dream released a cover of the 90′s R&B classic by Aaliyah “One In A Million,” which is supposed to be featured on his upcoming Love Sessions mixtape. The blogosphere has been spinning with negative reviews to the point that The-Dream took to his Twitter to state the following

“No one will ever [sing] Aaliyah’s ‘One In A Million’ like she did! Deff not me lol,” he tweeted. “I did it because I Reilly[sic] miss her still and it was out of respect! To her I’m still just a fan not a writer not an artist a Fan! Calm down the worlds not over. But [at least] y’all will remember how dope she was and still is to this day!”

Video Blogger The Skorpion said ” You don’t fuck up a good track like that” and we somewhat agree. However, people have put Aaliyah and her music on a pedestal since she died to the point that I can’t imagine any artist being allowed to do a song of her’s without catching flack. Anybody remember when Beyonce mentioned that she wanted to cover “One  In A Million”, people started a Facebook group protesting it! Nonetheless You be the judge!
